Yep an entire country is on the verge of bankruptcy. Iceland is virtually bankrupt, its stock market closed, banks nationalized and is currency worthless. Admittedly Iceland is a small country but that doesn’t mean that it can’t happen elsewhere, maybe even here.

That's unbelievable. I'm sorry for the people of Iceland and, as a coin collector, I'm a little worried. Okay, it's not a huge concern, and certainly the well-being of the Icelanders is a higher priority, but when money becomes worthless it becomes harder to get it out of its native country. I already have a fair number of aurars and kronas in my collection, but as long as they're minting new ones every year I'll always want more. This might make 'em harder to get.
