Holy Leif Erickson, Iceland is Bankrupt!

Yep an entire country is on the verge of bankruptcy. Iceland is virtually bankrupt, its stock market closed, banks nationalized and is currency worthless. Admittedly Iceland is a small country but that doesn’t mean that it can’t happen elsewhere, maybe even here.

WORKERS OF THE WORFLD UNITE, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT YOUR CHAINS!

That's unbelievable. I'm sorry for the people of Iceland and, as a coin collector, I'm a little worried. Okay, it's not a huge concern, and certainly the well-being of the Icelanders is a higher priority, but when money becomes worthless it becomes harder to get it out of its native country. I already have a fair number of aurars and kronas in my collection, but as long as they're minting new ones every year I'll always want more. This might make 'em harder to get.
