Yet More Late Night Thoughts
A bit of randomness, as an atheist I’m always hearing the argument that we are amoral at best because you need GOD to have a sense of morality. Yeah right which is why church goers are more likely to approve of torture . This does make sense given that their god hardened Pharos hart so he could have more sadistic fun inflicting plagues on Egypt.
The gender tides that were flowing to the Goth femme shores also seem to be lapping on the more high femme shores of late. I find myself lusting after some southwest style dress and blouse combinations, yummy stuff.

More Late Night Thoughts
Something @laffingbuddha said on twitter triggered some thinking on just how much this country is ruled by fear. It was fear that created a nation of scared sheep who could be panicked into attacking Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11. It is fear of queers that the theocrats use to maintain their following It is racist fear of Black’s Latinos and Asian’s that the Republican party is using to maintain it’s base. It is fear of Communisim/Socialisim that the Insurance industry uses to defeat any attempt at universal health care. Fear of one sort or another has always been the basis of social control. Fear of the wrath of the gods has been the basis of every theocracy down through the ages. On the other hand throwing off your personal fears is the basis for all freedom.
Now if I can just take my own advice and work through my personal fears I may yet have a life.

My how the Republican party has changed for the worse since their first elected president.
My earlier views of the unsoundness of the Christian scheme of salvation and the human origin of the scriptures have become clearer and stronger with advancing years, and I see no reason for thinking I shall ever change them. – Abraham Lincoln

Why Yes I Am An Anarchist
And no anarchism is NOT libertarianism. While both anarchists and libertarians oppose government power libertarians do not oppose private power. They are just fine with corporations having near unlimited power. Anarchists on the other hand distrust any power concentration; we believe power should come from the bottom up, not the top down and always be revocable. Consider we anarchists the political equivalents of peer to peer networking.

A Blog Analysis
The Blogalyser reveals...
Your blog/web page text has an overall readability index of 13.
This suggests that your writing style is conventional
(to communicate well you should aim for a figure between 10 and 20).Your blog has 5 sentences per entry, which suggests your general message is distinguished by clarity
(writing for the web should be concise).
CHARACTER MATRIX
male | female | |
self | world | |
past | future |
Your text shows characteristics which are 58% male and 42% female
(for more information see the Gender Genie).
Looking at pronoun indicators, you write mainly about yourself, then the world in general and finally your social circle. Also, your writing focuses primarily on the present, next the future and lastly the past.
Find out what your blogging style is like!
What to say about this, I come off as a bit more male than I would like but I am still happy to be about midpoint ( Gender Genie rates me as more female than male). It fits my sense of gender fluidity. It seems I am self centered if not necessarily shallow. It seems I care most about the present which fits with a reply I made to @harveymilk on twitter recently. I think I’m going to do this every month or so to see how my writing changes over time.

Maybe There Is No Real Me
This is a therapy day for me; I have recently been working on digging down into my mind to dig up the buried stuff in my mind. The thing is I haven’t really dug up much if anything. This has me wondering if there is anything to dig up, maybe there is no ‘real’ me. It could be that what you see is what you get, just a bundle of surface phenomena. I’ve been told I’m shallow and self centered, essentially quite selfish, maybe that is true.
On the other hand maybe I don’t want to dig anything up, I might not like what I find. I do have a mean and manipulative streak not at all pleasant. It could be that the selfishness is the core of me.
Or I could be totally wrong again. Stay tuned I’ll post more after therapy.

Why I Tweet
I was introduced to Twitter by my best friend Alexander Yoo . I joined to keep in contact with him since I live 90 minutes north of Los Angeles where he lives. I followed others ze was following because I knew most of them at least peripherally. It gave me a social life of some sort and a sense of connection, which is hard to come by when you’re queer and live in a small town. Over time I met other people and have come to value their conversation. I enjoy interacting with them, supporting them and being supported by them. It’s that sense of community and the ease of use that keeps me on twitter, not vanity or self-importance. I really don’t care what the trendy or famous do or do not do, I’m here for my friends.

A quick one before I sleep
Somebody's going to have to suffer. If I don't transition it will be me. If I do it will still be me and Lyne as well, my marriage will probably not survive. It will also very likely mean a end to any contact with what's left of my family. I am really too much of a coward to make this decision but it haunts me all the time.

Sunday Night Randomness
You may have noticed a tendency to randomness, chaos and anarchy in my writing, this is due in part to the influence of the writings of Michael Moorcock . He frequently deals with chaos and the Lords of Entropy in the Elric chronicals starting with Elric: The Stealer of Souls (Chronicles of the Last Emperor of Melniboné, Vol. 1). Then there is The Cornelius Quartet: The Final Program, A Cure for Cancer, The English Assassin, The Condition of Muzak which deals with social and political anarchy. He also created the concept of the multiverse as exemplified in this collection, A Nomad of the Time Streams. His books had a profound influence on me just out of collage, especially the first of the Cornelius novels, The Final Program. At the climax, in more ways than one, of the novel Jerry Cornelius merges with Miss Brunnes to become the perfect intersexed being. How I longed to be that person, that is still my ideal. His exploration of possibilities and beautiful attacks on authority helped open my mind to other ways of thinking. Go read some of his books, you will enjoy them.
Epic Fail, Advice From Spinal Tap
You know you face epic fail when a Spinal Tap song, Just Begin Again seems to be offering good advice. Still I do feel like starting over right now. Maybe I would make less of a hash of things this time, but probably not.

Obama Worse Than Bush?
Well at least some one in the justice department is making a claim that not even the Bush administration did, that the United States Government can not be sued for any acts of illegal surveillance ever . It’s bad enough that the Obama administration is continuing to defend the illegal actions of the Bush administration but they are actually extending their claim of unfettered executive power. It does sort of explain why Obama is refusing to investigate the violations of the constitution by the Bush and company, he wants to set a precedent so his own administration can be given a pass for whatever they do.

Fucked Up Budget Priorities
I just learned today that an online friend has Lupus, A particularly nasty autoimmune disease. I lost an uncle to Lupus a decade back so I am somewhat sensitive to this.
In 2008 we spent $29.2 billion on the National Institute of Health while spending $12 billion a month in Iraq. If we diverted five months funding from Iraq to the NIH we could more than double their budget. Yes I know that this is a overly simplistic analysis but the point is that while we have wasted hundreds of billions on a war of aggression that has accomplished nothing but ruining Iraq and enriching a few well connected U.S. contactors while under funding basic medical research. This is symptomatic of Americas fucked up budget priorities. We seem to be far more interested in stupid macho posturing than caring for our fellow citizens or ourselves.

Nihilism And Me
At hart I am basically a Nihilist, there is no meaning or purpose to life but what we give it. Those who look to an outside power to give meaning and form to their life are deluding themselves. Web can give meaning to our lives; it can be glorious such as the social justice movements or monstrous like Manifest Destiny. Either way we are giving meaning to our lives, we and no one else.

The Corporate State
While the right wails about Obama being a Fascist they are missing the fact that we do live in a corporate state. Where they are wrong is in thinking that Obama is the mover, the corporations are. Joe Bageant . points out that corporations have completely co-opted or lives here in the U.S. We are in fact a second world nation on our way to third world status. We have no national health care, a crumbling infrastructure, little in the way of public transportation and a now near non-existent social safety net. What we do have is disaster courtesy of an insane wave of privatization that has given us poorer services at higher cist than in true first world country’s like Germany or Japan and complete co-option of public spaces by corporations. The corporations are basically incompetent and have tanked the world economy in large part because there is no effective oversight any more. We have let them move us from being active citizens to passive consumers.

Another Random Journey To The Center Of My Mind
Well this was a wonderful weekend, worked for most of it, which means little rest but much money next month. So I’m tired and my thumb hurts were I nearly cut the end off. Meanwhile amidst the pain, fear and anxiety what’s on or in my mind? Why my physical transformation of course. I want estrogen, progesterone, and body piercing to become a fetish feme. I know my chances of becoming what I want are very small but the pressure to start the journey is getting irresistible. I feel the time is short and may very well be past but I think I have reached the point of do or die.

A Random Thought On A Wednesday Night
I am wearyingly tired of our hetronormative society. It is so boring, only two allowed genders and a very limited number of acceptable ways of expressing gender, family or love. Wake up you slack jawed jellyfishes! Actually live your lives and be open to the possibilities. Stop being in thrall to Bronze Age religious nonsense. Gender Queer Revolution now!
