I think society is very limited and constricted when they emphasize sex and gender as worlds apart. Things such as Cosmo magazine and mainstream media solidify these gender "norms" and naturalize to a degree which is not healthy. But most certainly there is evidence that some minor differences exist. The experience, for some women, of childbirth is going to be a world apart from men who can't experience the pain of labor. But this is not to say men are better or owmen are better. - most interesting for me recently, was the all gendered bathrooms for my campuses' rainbow week! - Nice to hear that this is being advocated for. My campus just recently did a whole day one floor all gendered bathrooms for the same reason. If you lived in New Zealand like me I would suggest prioritising food and utilities ahead of a car. Walking and public transport are usually cheaper. Things may be different where you are, but less car use and more walking would still be positive for the wallet and for releasing endorphins that reduce depression. :-) Cheers

Waiting rooms can be uncomfortable places, especially when you're sitting there a long time wondering if they forgot about you. Best thing to do is to go up and inquire of the receptionist how long it will still be... to make sure they didn't forget or overlook you. Being shy myself, and not wanting to be a bother, that can be a hard thing to do.

But considering, based on what you wrote, that you left before your scheduled appointment time with the doctor had even arrived, I wonder if perhaps you weren't feeling ready to go through with it?

Or perhaps they did inform you that it would still be a much longer wait, and you just didn't have the time to spare.

I would just encourage you not to give up on radical feminism. There are many feminists who are still fighting for liberation for transgendered people.
