`Workers of the world unite! This is the last line of the Communist Manifesto and seems an appropriate way to start a post on May Day. The political connotation of the day goes back to the Haymarket Affair which the Second International thought would be a good thing to commemorate as International Workers Day.
Of course May 1st has other older connotations such as the Celtic festival of Beltane and the German Walpurgisnacht . So lite a bonfire and fuck your brains out.

Can you believe this lame Loyalty Day crap? That has to have been started by Joe McCarthy. Everytime I heard a newscaster say that phase I steamed!
