It is a formally excluded group deciding to exclude a even more marginalized group. This sort of crap happens all too often and I’m sick of it. From The Lavender Menace To Trans Misogyny
When the National Organization of Women had just been founded in 1969 Betty Friedan called for expelling lesbians from the organization calling them a Lavender Menace who would stand in the way of NOW achieving it’s goals. In her 1978 book Gyn/Ecology: The Metaethics of Radical Feminism Mary Daly called trans-women ‘Frankenstein’ while ignoring trans-men’s existence entirely. This to me is not progress.
